Burger King was acquired by Pillsbury in 1967 after which it underwent a major corporate restructuring and is now is owned by 3G capital and is the 3rd largest growing fast food brand!

BK was the first food company to tie up with a movie brand (Star Wars) for publicity and it was accepted very well and had created a worldwide trend too.
