The Legend Of Papa John’s Pizza.

Papa John’s Pizza is a name that is well known in the global pizza business. It runs the third largest take-out pizza delivery restaurant chain in the world. Founded on October 2, 1984; 32 years ago.

In 1983, John Schnatter, cleared out the broom closet in his father’s tavern, Mick’s Lounge in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He then proceeded to sell his ’71 Camaro for 1600$ worth of used pizza equipment and converted the closet into a makeshift kitchen. He began making and selling pizzas out of the closet to the tavern’s customers. So popular his pizzas were that he was able to move out of the closet and also reacquired his beloved Camaro after putting out a staggering reward of 250,000$.

Papa John’s primarily takes carryout and delivery orders, although some stores have options for dining in. In 2012, Papa John’s opened its 4000th outlet in New Hyde Park, New York. The company celebrated this occasion with a grand gesture of giving away 4000 free pizzas to customers across NYC.

With over 4700 establishments across the globe, including 3500 in the US alone and over 1200 distributed amongst 37 countries and territories, Papa John’s has carved itself into the annals of pizza history with not only it’s delectable pizzas but also introducing new systems such as the ability to order pizzas online was made available for the first time in 2002 to all of it’s US customers. This method was subsequently adopted by it’s rivals further cementing itself in the food space.

The competition is tough and the stakes are too high but Papa John’s has always persevered and given the world the best pizzas it could. With the competitors growing stronger in India we see fewer Papa John’s food joints in town. But the taste and aroma of their amazing and cheesy pizzas is still fresh in our minds and forever will be.

Papa John’s has close to a 100 outlets in India. What are you waiting for? Head to the outlet nearest to you and don’t forget to get the best deals here.
